• Petco @ The Arboretum - 2010
  We will be setting up a booth at Petco periodically throughout the year located at the Arboretum off of Hwy 51 to show the community that they should always think Adoption First! We will set up a booth with information about our group as well as bring several of our foster dogs. We will be selling T-shirts, Magnets, Calendars and Cookbooks as well as educating the public about our rescue group. Please contact us for specific dates!
  
  
• Rescue Around the World - April 22nd, 2010
  This event will be held on Thursday, April 22nd, at Myers Park High School, 2400 Colony Road, Charlotte. This is an educational event for the high school students. It is not a fund-raiser or an adopt-a-thon. We will need volunteers to occupy the Rally to Rescue Tent as well as volunteers to occupy the S.A.F.E. Tent. We will have some of our animals at the S.A.F.E. Tent for this event.
  
  
• Bark in the Park - April 24th, 2010
  Mark your calendar now for this annual event! This event will be held again at the Metrolina Expo Trade Center, 7100 Statesville Road (site of the old fairgrounds) in North Charlotte from 10 am - 4 pm. We will need volunteers to help set-up/take down our booth, hand out free materials to the public, as well as watch over the S.A.F.E. foster dogs. We will need to start setting up around 8:30 am and will be taking down the booth at 4 pm. We will have several shifts available for volunteering but would love it if you wanted to stay all day!! The morning shift will be from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon shift will be from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. If you can only stay a few hours, please let us know. We can use the help anytime during the day! This is always a fun event!
  
  
• Charlotte Pet Expo - May 8th, 2010
  We will be at the Cabarrus Arena on May 8th from 10 am to 6 pm attending the First Annual Charlotte Pet Expo - the pet-lover’s premier event! Bringing all the foremost trainers, groomers, rescues, shelters, vets, clinics, pet stores, retailers, hobbyist groups, and societies together for a fun filled day! This event will assemble all key areas of the pet companion world to educate, demonstrate, and perform for the Charlotte pet lover community and beyond. Educational demonstrations, special guest, agility trials, adoptions and a pet fashion show are just a few events on the day’s agenda. There is something for everyone, truly an experience for the whole family. You might even meet a new 4-legged family member!
  
  
• Woof'n and Hoof'n Spring Fling - May 15th, 2010
  Come join us (S.A.F.E. Animal Haven) for a Spring Fling and Equestrian Poker Run through Latta Plantation Park, located at 6201 Sample Road, Huntersville, NC, 28078, on Saturday, May 15th from 9 am to 4 pm. We will have pony rides for the children and experts who will demonstrate a variety of skills with both dogs and horses. We will have experts demonstrating massage for both dogs and horses, chiropractic services for dogs and horses, saddle fitting, Dressage, lure coursing for dogs, Herding Skills, line dancing for the two-legged variety, etc. Cash prizes for Best and Worst Hand for the Poker Run. Bring your own horse or Latta Equestrian Center will allow you to use one of their horses on a first come, first served basis for an additional $25 fee. Pre-registration for the poker run is $20, registration the day of the event is $25. Registration will end the day of the event at 10:00 am. Come join us for food, fun and festivities.
