• Petco Adopt-a-Thon @ The Arboretum - 2010
  We will be attending the Petco Adopt-a-Thons located at the Arboretum off of Hwy 51 to show the community that they should always think Adoption First! We will have a booth setup with information about our group along with several of our foster dogs. We will be selling T-shirts, magnets, calendars and cookbooks, as well as educating the public about our rescue group.

• Woof'n and Hoof'n Fall Festival - September 12th, 2010
  Come join us for a Fall Festival and an Equestrian Poker Run through Latta Plantation Park, located at 6201 Sample Road, Huntersville, NC 28078, on Sunday, September 12th from 9 am to 4 pm. We will have pony rides for the children, and experts who will demonstrate a variety of skills with both dogs and horses. Cash prizes for Best and Worst Hand for the Poker Run. Bring your own horse or Latta Equestrian Center will allow you to use one of their horses on a first come, first serve basis for an additional $25 fee. Mark your calendars now and come join us for food, fun and festivities! More detailed information to come as we are still in the planning stages for this event!

• S.A.F.E. Animal Haven Yard Sale - September 18th, 2010
  We are having a Yard Sale on Saturday, September 18th to raise money for our rescue group. The event will be held at Jodi Murphy Blocker's house (Thornblade Subdivision, 1810 Thornblade Ridge Drive, Matthews, NC 28105) from 7 am to 1 pm. If you have items you would like to donate, please send an email to OurFosters@Yahoo.com. Remember, all donations go toward caring for our foster dogs awaiting their forever homes. A tax receipt will be provided upon request!
  
  
• S.A.F.E. Animal Haven's Best Friends Furever Reunion - November 6th, 2010
  We will be at Best Friends Pet Care, located at 10301 Feldfarm Lane, Charlotte, NC, 28210, on Saturday, November 6th. S.A.F.E. Animal Haven invites all of their adoptive families to join us in the celebration of our animals that they have adopted. The foster families come to see their prior "foster babies" and to share in the joy of their new home. We will have door prizes, games, demonstrations, photographs and food. • Thrill the World - A Simultaneous Worldwide Dance to 'Thriller' - October 23rd, 2010
  Thrill The World is a worldwide attempt to break the World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Dance with Michael Jackson’s "Thriller". Thousands of people in cities around the world will learn the "Thriller" dance and perform it together at the same time on October 23rd @ 7pm EST. 2010 will be the fourth annual global Thrill the World Event! Each year Thrill the World has progressively broken the previous year's record. In October of 2009, 22,596 people from 32 different countries SIMULTANEOUSLY did the "Thriller" dance. This year Charlotte, NC, is going to be a major part of setting new records! Thrill the World, Charlotte will be a fun and exciting event that will raise awareness and funds for three local charities: A Child's Place, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and S.A.F.E. Animal Haven! Folks will be dancing to help homeless children, fight hunger and provide shelter for unwanted dogs - all right here in your own backyard!
